1984. Big Brother. George Orwell. "In Frame" by As Always delves into the imagery of a totalitarian state previously prophesied, and currently lived. This debut single from the New Jersey rock quintet’s upcoming album explores societal constructs feeding the prison-industrial complex. “In Frame” is a sonic journey woven with post-hardcore energy, rippling synth pads, lush guitars, and the desperation to maintain individuality in an ever-monitored society.

The chorus of “give your rights away”, “may it clear your name”, “until we’re all in frame” paints a vivid picture of a world where individuals, in a desperate bid to clear their names, unwittingly surrender their rights, only to find themselves trapped within the confines of a frame – be it the prison cell or the omnipresent gaze of a totalitarian state. This imagery of being framed not only echoes just in the literal sense of wrongful imprisonment, but the broader fear of living under constant scrutiny.

As Always explores the chilling reality of living in a society where privacy is a rare commodity, and personal freedom is a tightrope walk between safety and truth.
